• Matthias Rincón sells his shares in ipartment and remains on board as a consultant
• Managing Director Ralph Stock takes over the strategic expansion and other business areas
• Growth course to be continued
Cologne, July 2023. ipartment founder and managing director Matthias Rincón has sold his shares in ipartment GmbH and will leave the company for private reasons on 1 September 2023. Matthias Rincón will continue to work for the company as an external consultant for communication, marketing and brand management with an exclusive contract for at least 24 months. ipartment has grown strongly in recent years despite the economic crisis and has recorded high occupancy rates of over 90% at all locations. In the last five years alone, the operator has opened nine new properties, including large properties such as the Gateway Gardens airport building in Frankfurt am Main with 177 units and, most recently, the building on THE UNIQUE office campus at the capital's BER airport with 159 serviced flats. The operator, which specialises in business customers, has thus more than doubled its offering.
"I am delighted to remain associated with the company we have built up together and to be able to drive ipart-ment forward 'from the second row' without being involved in day-to-day operations. At the same time, ipartment is ideally positioned for the future in this constellation," says Matthias Rincón.
Managing partner Ralph Stock will now be responsible for all business areas and will drive forward the expansion course: "Matthias Rincón's departure has led to the partners moving closer together. We are very solidly positioned for the future and will continue our expansion," explains Ralph Stock.

With three new properties in Charlottenburg, Mitte and at the growing airport location Berlin-Brandenburg (BER), ipartment will offer a broad portfolio totalling 230 serviced flats in the capital from summer 2023.
