ipartment has added over 200 serviced apartments to its portfolio in Cologne – in the immediate vicinity of the Cologne Messe and directly opposite the opera in the city center.
Cologne – With the two newest locations in Cologne, ipartment – in addition to the house at Hamburg Airport and the Kesselhaus in Leverkusen – has already signed contracts for 360 new serviced apartments in the first two months of 2024. „With this, we are consistently pursuing our expansion strategy,“ says Ralph Stock, co-owner and CEO of ipartment GmbH.
At the Cologneo Campus, located next to the Cologne Messe, a new sustainable neighborhood that connects living, working, commercial and gastronomic spaces with art and culture, 178 serviced apartments will be realized by autumn 2026. On approximately 6,000 square meters, the apartments will be built in sizes ranging from 22 to 38 square meters on four floors. CG Elementum AG, which also has a Cologne branch, is the project developer. „We are pleased to welcome ipartment as a new tenant. This partnership is an important step in further enriching the area. Not least, we are creating the conditions for operating the entire neighborhood in a climate-neutral manner,“ said Ulf Graichen, CEO/CDO of CG Elementum AG. All the apartments will be equipped with the usual high standard of design and quality. There will be a large design lounge with a working space, a digital self-service kiosk, rental bicycles, and a parking garage with electric charging stations.
The second new Cologne property is located opposite the Cologne Opera. There, it is expected that 31 designer apartments will be built in the first quarter of 2025 in a listed building designed by Cologne architect Wilhelm Riphahn (1889-1963). The serviced apartments, measuring 20 to 45 square meters, are spread over four floors totaling 1,020 square meters. This ipartment building, also located in the central part of Cologne city center, will also feature a club lounge with a working space. A gastronomic offer is planned on the ground floor. The owner is the LCL Immobilien Group.
