All good things come in three: In addition to Frankfurt and Berlin, there is now also an apartment building at Hamburg Airport.
Cologne – The lease agreement has been signed: The leading provider in the long-stay segment, the Cologne-based ipartment GmbH, will open another serviced apartment building near the Hamburg airport. „With this, we are developing into an airport specialist,“ says Ralph Stock, co-owner and CEO of ipartment GmbH, with a wink.
With Frankfurt and Berlin, this is now the third ipartment Group property located at the airport, and in Hamburg itself – alongside Hamburg Hafencity and Emsbüttel – as well. This will initially expand the airport portfolio to a total of 345 serviced apartments nationwide. „In Hamburg, we are starting with 119 serviced apartments with a size of 20 to 41 square meters at the airport,“ explains Marcus Löwe, COO and Managing Director of ipartment GmbH.
All the apartments are equipped with the usual high-quality design and standards. In addition to the digitized guest journey, there will be a design lounge, a digital self-service kiosk, and a parking garage with spaces for guests.
The property is being built anew for ipartment GmbH as the sole tenant, to the exact specifications and in accordance with the latest standards. The landlord is a subsidiary of the Adore Group, a nationwide construction company and project developer based in Berlin.

About ipartment GmbH:
ipartment GmbH was founded in Cologne in 2008. The company is now the leading German provider of serviced apartments in the business long-stay segment. With „First Choice Second Home”, ipartment offers people a concept that prefers to „stay at home on the go“ rather than in a hotel. The special feature is the design-oriented equipment of the apartments and houses, the fully digitized guest journey, and the all-round service.
From two apartments in Cologne, there are now 1,300 Design Apartments in Germany. The apartments have a size of approximately 20 square meters to 60 square meters, some with balconies or even a roof terrace.
The current occupancy rate of the houses is 92 percent. Of that, 90 percent are business travelers and the remaining 10 percent are private travelers. The average length of stay in the long-stay category is 45 days at ipartment. The approximately 70 employees currently manage 17 locations as well as a co-working space. The further expansion – especially into European countries – is a focus.
